Very nice. Did you happen to weigh both stocks to see what the difference was? Be sure to give an update after the range.
Here is my lefty Axis in .223 Remington with Boyd's furniture in Royal Jacaranda. I just dropped the trigger to 3 pounds. Next week, we go to Virginia to shoot some steel at 200-300 yards.

I didn't weigh them. The Boyd's seemed slightly lighter. I did have to work on the stock with a small wood chisel because the safety wasn't able to slide back to a full locked position. I also had to add a small shim to elevate the action. Everything is tight now. I am rezeroing on Monday and then to the 200m range this weekend.

What did you do about the bottom metal ?

I didn't need any. The stock came with hardware for the magazine release clip to engage with. There was also a block mounted at the back of the mag well that engages with the magazine. I did get the matte black stainless steel trigger guard.
