Howdy all. Just kicking around the idea of an aftermarket bolt handle for my first Savage rifle. Stock handle seems a little small and my hand is kind of close to the scope when cycling. It is a deer rifle so its not absolutely critical. But in the heat of the moment, it could be an issue. Not looking for something to use as a kick stand. Just something a little bigger with a little more clearance. Any recommendations or advice greatly appreciated.

Thanks. Anyone try Stockade bolt handles> A little pricey but the size doesn't seem to much bigger. Might fit the bill
The Stockade bolt handles are good. Got one. They are longer than the Savage target handle. The knurl is a little coarser than I like.

I like the stockade's, but not for hunting. Kind of a kickstand, as you said. Mine are all right handed actions, but I shoot/carry/stalk left handed and so I really hate the way most "tacticals" poke me in the belly. THe larger factory bolt handle dfrosch suggested is as large as I would go for hunting rifle.
Hey dfrosch, how much longer would you say the stockade bolt is compared to the stock handle if you had to guess? Thanks
I have the small(5/8" knob) Stockade bolt handle on a 22-250. It's about 3-1/4" from the center of the hole to the tip of the handle. By comparison, a standard Savage is about 2-5/8" long and the target Savage is about 3-1/16" long.
