You are correct. As you pointedout, Axises only have one action length. Boyds' action length for Axis stocks really refers to the magazine length, and 6.5 Creedmoor uses short action magazines.
I have a Savage Axis II Heavy Barrel in 6.5 CM and was wanting to replace the stock with a Boyd's. My problem however is when I search for stocks it asks me to choose between a long action and short action, which I thought all Axis had the same action (correct me if I'm wrong). Which option do I choose? Only one option has a Bull Barrel and is a short action, which is what I assume I'd want. Is this correct?

So.....I have an Axis II chambered 30-06. Is it a long or short action? For some reason, I think I read that it is a long action rifle. ??
I take responsibility for my actions.....not yours.
The 30-06 is a LA cartridge. Therefore, you need an Axis stock with the LA DBM inlet to accept the longer Axis DBM bottom cap needed to fit the longer 30-06 metal magazine box.
