I recommend the Sinclair bore guides without hesitation.

I have decided to upgrade my rifle cleaning equipment. Going to order a one piece cleaning rod (Dewey?) and a bore guide. Can anyone suggest a guide that has worked well in their model 10 short action? Products to avoid?
My rifle is a model 10T in a XLR Element Chassis. I have needed to lower my cheek riser to get a rod in straight in the past and anticipate needing to do so with a new rod/guide.
I recommend the Sinclair bore guides without hesitation.

Anyone tried the Tipton Rapid? Looks a little gimmicky but reviews are good...
I second what AndrewX said above.
How much additional length should I account for with the use of a guide? I know they all are different but ballpark?
The length of my 10 SA with a 26" barrel + brake =33" would a 40" rod do it or better to be safe with a 44"?
For my Model 10 and 12 in .308 I use the Sinclair O-Ring bore guide. Part # 749-002-947. I also use a 44" Dewey rod and my barrels are 26" and 28" in length. With the muzzle brake you have, I am sure you need the extra length as well.
I use the O-ring models and a 44" long Dewey cleaning rod for my bolt actions with 26" and 28" long barrels.
