Are you sure it is a model 12? An AccuStock?
The Model 10 FCP-SR fits.
The Dunning-Kruger effect is alive and well.
i think it is the model 12fv rosco. thanks fellows
I would call Savage
When did 12FV's have an accustock?
it may not be a accu stock but thats what i was told
Savage put out a special run of some synthetic stocked Model 12's a few years back that had a wider beavertail forend like the Varmint Low-Profile stock. Don't know if they just called it a 12FV or what, but several folks on here bought them from whatever big-box store was selling them. Dick's maybe?
Put the serial number in the Savage Parts Finder, it'll tell you exactly what model the rifle left the factory as.

I have that model in 204.. I do not believe it is made with the Accustock any longer.. Mine is a 12 LRPV DBM, mine also has a fluted 26" barrel.. In 204. Blued
If it is an Accustock it will have a large aluminum piece in the stock, under the barrel and action
