Only Savage can tell you how many they made, give them a jingle.
I finally found a Single Shot Long Action Standard shank. When were they made and how many did they make? How do I find another one?
I am not talking about the "J" action. I am interested in information about the actual LA with the 5 inch screw spacing.

I'm a firm believer in the theory that if it bleeds, I can kill it.
What is the SN? That tells us something.
I didn't know they had a single shot LA.
I too would like one.
They are not that rare. They made them from 1989 till 2005.

FYI- a J series doens't have anything to do with action length. J's were just a designation that started in 1966.
What you are referring to is a 1st generation short action. 1959-1988.
All long actions have always had the 5.062" bolt spacing.

Gunbroker has a .223 single shot 110 listed right now...
Link?
I though the 100 series were long actions?
Yes, 100 series are long actions. Savage used 100 series for their short action cartridges before creating the series 10. And comma I believe after that comma on occasion put short action Barrels on Long actions.
And, crazy Savage nuts might put a short action cartridge onto a long action, so that they can fit their long hand loaded cartridges into the larger long action magazine.
Even crazier Savage nuts might just take an extra 100 series action and put a short action Barrel on it as a Franken Savage.
Not gonna take the time to find a link, but if you use the search function and look for a used 223 Savage it will be in the results.
