sounds like the trigger is contacting the stock
I have a model 10 that is sitting in a Bell & Carlson M40 style stock. I installed the Sav 1 trigger. When the action is out of the stock it works great. When I put the stock back on it wont fire. The safety slides forward and back and seems to work fine. Has anyone else had this problem?

Get the Dremel out!
"An armed society is a polite society"
"...shall not be infringed" What's the confusion?
Look for contact at rear trigger guard screw, inside stock.

If the old trigger worked but the sav1 does not, take both triggers and lay one on top of the other. But the trigger pin through the holes to line them up.now align the sear edges. You should see exactly where you need to remove stock. also make sure that the pin is in from the correct side so it does not roll the action causing the rub.
The Dunning-Kruger effect is alive and well.
Thanks for all your responses. I got the triggers lined up and took a little off inside the stock w/the dremel above the rear trigger guard screw and I am in good shape now. Thanks again!
