Welcome aboard
G'day everyone, I'm new to this site. I live in the Hunter Valley in New South Wales. Australia. After 2 and a half decades without so much as even picking up a firearm I've decided to re-arm myself and go out after some bunnies.
I have ordered myself a Savage 93 .17HMR BTVLSS from the local hunting store because I'm left handed, and just because my wife might like to have a crack at some targets and she is right handed I ordered a nice little lever action .22LR Henry.
I have to say that since I decided to get back into shooting I can't stop thinking about it. The fella's at the hunting shop can tell that I'm keen and are very helpful, but as the first line up the top says, I'm like a kid in a candy store, and they know it.
Way back when I was shooting before, I had a Ruger 10/22LR semi-auto, that was a beautiful little rifle, and a Franki semi-auto shotgun, if I only have half as much fun with my new arsenal as I had with the old one I'll still come home a very happy camper.
I'm keen as mustard to go out camping and hunting ASAP after my firearms arrive.
I look forward to contributing some words in these pages about my exiting exploits. But until then everybody,
Happy trails.

Welcome - I'm not personally familiar with the Savage 93, but I love my Henry .22.

Thanks for the welcome Rick_W, I just hope the Henry isn't too much rifle for my wife, she's never had anything to do with firearms and she doesn't know that its even been ordered let alone for her.

With good ear plugs the little Henry is great for new shooters of most any age.
Most of our buckaroos (some as young as 6-7 years old) use the Henry in Cowboy Action Shooting. Smooth and reliable right out of the box.

Well my new Savage R93 BTVLSS in a 17 HMR has arrived at my local gun dealers store and its oh so pretty. I have to wait for my PERMIT TO AQUIRE to come back from the state police firearms registry, that could be a couple of weeks away still but its all coming together for me.
