Wow! I'm only about 2 hours south of there and hadn't heard anything about it.
Here's some footage of the multiple tornado's that blew through my neck of the woods on Wednesday.

Awesome... I cant imagine seeing that with the naked eye...
we don't get a lot of them around here but do on occasion... 15 years ago my direct neighbor across the street lost their roof and half of their garage, next door to them lost their garage almost in total, and we had no damage at all. 100 feet apart...

WOW
The Dunning-Kruger effect is alive and well.
Closest one to me was still about 10-12 miles away. We got a little rain and a few wind gusts but that was about it.
There are a lot of careers I'm glad I did not choose. Most can be found on Dirty Jobs. Another career would be storm chasers, or the pilots who fly into hurricanes.
They who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.
We had a small one jump over us in 2010. It made a very long jump of several miles so we were in no danger but the accompanying hail and winds got all the roofs and lots of vinyl siding throughout the city replaced. Two of our vehicles were pretty banged up too. That's as close as I want to get to a real tornado.
That's pretty crazy. And we didn't get anything that bad down here in Akron.
Too close for my comfort, Jim.
