The steel is mostly for feel/aesthetics, but my factory polymer was out of spec and wouldn't feed with 100% consistency, and I did notice a rigidity increase in the B&C by making the switch to steel. I doubt it would show up on target, but in the hand, the forend does feel a little stiffer. Flawless feeding now, as well.
