By the way, several people have reamers available for this cartridge. These include Pacific Tool and Gauge (PTG), and Climer that I know of. Redding and Hornady both have dies available.
I have been hearing some rumblings on this wildcat. It is a 375 Ruger necked down to .338. It supposedly gives you a 30-06 length case with the same power level as a 338 RUM.

Hornady has dies! You serious or are you saying they can make them through their custom shop?
Cheers...

ok...ok...you can order them through the customer shop. They already have the drawings and have made a couple of sets for other people. According to the Campfire website.
I found loaded ammo for the "338 extream" at the gunshop yesterday. Whats a 338 extream? Looked HUGE!!
Here is a blurb on the 338 extreme:

The cartridge cannot be shot from a Savage action. There is not one big enough. 505 Gibbs necked down is way too long. How about that 266 gr slug @ 3350 FPS?
I think Hornady missed the boat on this one when they made the RCM's. I would love to see a full size 375 Ruger case necked down to 338. With their "Heavy Magnum" powder technology there's not reason why they couldn't match 340 Weatherby ballistics with a 30-06 length cartridge. Still may lag behind the 338 RUM though. If that would make a "338 Ruger" I would buy one in a heartbeat, or re-barrel a Ruger or Savage action for one.
Anybody here convert a 110 to 338 RUM or Edge? Is that even possible?
Yes, there are several around. Ctrout just finished an Edge. I'll have an Edge finished in a couple weeks. Just another barrel swap with a magnum bolt face.Originally Posted by efw

I am getting my ducks in a row and will be doing an edge on a 110 action!Originally Posted by efw
I have the reamer, I have the action, I have the barrels on speed dial, but I have no dies :'(
Just use 338 RUM dies. They will let you neck size and seat easy enough. If you want to FL size, buy a 375 RUM FL sizer die or drill out a 300 RUM FL sizer.Originally Posted by sinman
Still way cheaper than buying Edge dies.
If you can find them RCBS dies are $150 and Redding Edge dies from Carlock are $260.

Another thought that will save you money. Have come to the conclusion in load testing of the 300 RUM and I am reloading in volume now. Hundreds!
I am using my Redding 300WSM bushing die to neck size my 300 RUM! A Redding 338 Bushing and it will work for every long 338 case I have!
