Last May I picked up a 12FV in 223 at Cabelas for $260 after $100 rebate. Put a E.A. Brown thumbhole laminated stock under it for $169, http://www.eabco.net/Savage-Thumbhol...n_p_14233.html, a Vortex Crossfield II 6-18 X 44 scope for $240 ( I think) and it has an illuminated reticle, an EGW 20 moa mount for $40 and medium rings for another $25. Total investment less than $750.

Bughole accurate and less than my BVSS cost before scope, mounts, rings.
