Take your buttplate off and it will have the serial number stamped on it and the stock, the forearm should have the same serial number stamped on the back of it.
Curious gun. Could have been a couple of things. Might have been an early model RS with the flat bottomed studs that I see on it and the forearm was swapped. Thought it was a model EG at first but the checkering on the forearm isn't EG checkering. Could have also been a lunch box special that one of the workers at Savage just built in his spare time and the serial number on the receiver wasn't completed. Really strange.
