Must intrude on Winchester....
If anyone gets more ELD-M or X bullets and is wondering why the tip is a different color now here's the answer:
Why are the new Heatshield™ (ELD-X™ & ELD™ Match) tips a solid color instead of translucent?
Hornady® ELD-X™ and ELD™ Match bullets that feature the Heat Shield™ tip are transitioning from a translucent red to a more solid, opaque red color. The change is simply to avoid a trade dress (trademark) conflict with another manufacturer. The increase in red dye does not affect the performance of the new Heat Shield™ tip and its ability to resist deformation due to aerodynamic heating. The new red color of the Heat Shield™ tips is a deeper shade of red than any other Hornady® bullet tip leaving them unique in the Hornady® product line.

Hornady sold the reloading world the old "just the tip" line, and already had to change it. That's funny right there.
I'm a firm believer in the theory that if it bleeds, I can kill it.
Just the color. Same benefits from new tips.
Hopefully the color will help with those too.

I'm holding out for "zombie green".
"An armed society is a polite society"
"...shall not be infringed" What's the confusion?
Well you can get that in some calibers but not the ELDs unfortunately. Sorry
