So far so good. Looks like you set him up really nicely.
Also looks like you now have some empty brass. :)
Now just get some RL22 and you'll be sho nuff in business.
My favorite is to pair it up with 110gr accubonds.
Made it to the range today with dad to try his new rifle I built for him for Christmas.
This is his first bolt action rifle, hes always hunted with a Rem 742 30-06 and sighted his rifle in right before season, hunted and then put it in the safe.
Hed been interested lately in me shooting some of my rifles Ive built.
So.....I figured Id put him in the game.
Heres what I put together
Savage LA staggerfeed with 3 screw trigger
B&C Medalist sporter (black with gray web)
Apache 25-06 24in heavy sporter stainless
EGW 0 MOA rail
Vortex rings
PA 4.5x14 mil/mil (very pleased with this for the money) I think I need one!
He shot Hornadys American whitetail 117gr
This is his first group @ 100after getting it on paper. The first shot is under the penny, I made the adjustments and there were the next 3.
This is his 2nd group. The 1st 2 shots were the close ones and then he choked lol
I was very pleased with it, I think its shows some real potential.

A good wife and a steady job has ruined many a great hunter.
Thats really cool. My dad is a garden gun guy.
nice scooter...and you can see your dad is happy too!!
Thanks guys!
BHJ I just happen to have some re22...no accubonds tho but plenty of other 25cal bullets...
He seemed like he enjoyed himself quite a bit. Weather wasnt the greatest so we didnt shoot long though.
Yo....Im workin on it....took me a bit just to get him to leave his hand off the barrel while he shot...lol
Gloves will be next lol

I'm the Boss. I make sure what she wants gets done.

Holy Crap!!
Your dad sounds like me. Last 3 deer I got were all one shot, FOR THE WHOLE SEASON. (ranges were from 5yds to 180) No need to waste ammo. Only time I usually go to the range is if I make a change to the rifle that makes me re-sight in.
Looks like you made him a real nice deer rifle. That ought to put some serious venison in the freezer.
