Still got some work to do on it. Waiting on the Allen Precision Large 5-port Painkiller to come in and Manson headspace gauges. Then I'll be able to get it all buttoned up and out to a mile. Will probably end up having it dipped or coated too. Aiming for March to have it done, so another month or so.

Here is my first mid/long range rifle build:
-Savage Hog Hunter in 308
-Choate Tactical stock
-DNZ 20 moa 1 piece SA Mount
-Vortex Viper 6.5-20x44 (I was on a budget and this seemed like an excellent option for the price. I plan on upgrading sometime in the future)
-Vortex 44mm sunshade
-Harris bipod
So far I've only sighted it in at 200yds, but I hope to push it out soon.
NICE LOOKING RIFLE!
But ya gotta lose that front sight mang!

Yeah, it doesn't interfere with the scope at all but it just doesnt fit in so that'll probably be the next step.
Well it's finally put together. Savage model 14 stainless/walnut. Bushnell elite 4200 3x9x40. Leupold std bases and rings. Love the look.
Very nice indeed.
Love those walnut stocks
Yep, something about wood stocks that are just beautiful, and traditional.
NICE! What's the cerakote color? Any better pics?
