Should work just fine, just make sure you get the right bolt spacing.
Have my eye on a Model 12 single shot in 220 Swift but one of the first things to go will be the factory stock. Have a preference for raised comb stocks.
Any gotchas with the stock replacement? I was thinking a blind box magazine stock would work fine.
Fair assumption?

More shooting, less typing.
Thanks. I'm guessing 4.40" spacing but I'll confirm.
I'm waiting on a Prairie Dog/Tactical stock from Stockade in Nebraska. You'll read lots of good things about Stockade here and on other forums. I believe the spacing should be 4.40" if its a RBLP or RBRP, but the dual ports are 3.44". Kevin at stockade is currently tapping my dual port action for the 4.40" spacing since it offers more stability. He said the hole is drilled on these actions anyways- it just isn't tapped.
I'm sure others will chime in.
I've been looking for a reason to give Stockade a shot. B&C has been my standard but their M40 style only comes in DBM configurations. Manners or McMillan was the next option but have to look at Stockade.
Which stock do you have? Is it the heavy laminated?

No, just the plain black factory synthetic according to the photo. Not in hand yet. Listing describes it as a SAVAGE 12 .220 SWIFT VARMINT-PREDATOR
The 220 swift part is what had me thinking 12 BVSS from back in the day, 4.27" spacing. Good to they are making them again.
More shooting, less typing.
Can't remember when they stopped producing these. They aren't in the current catalog but would be nice if they started again. Something classic about the 220 Swift.
Nice rifle! Love the swift. I stumbled upon a bvss-s last summer on gunbroker. Practically stole it!
Seller is a little proud of this one, asking $850. Not an outrageous price but also not a good deal either.
I had McMillan make this one for me 18 years ago.
