sAVAGE BARRELS HAVE A LOT OF NUMBERS AND LETTERS STAMPED ON THEM. DOES ONE OF THESE TELL THE TWIST?
THANKS;

Nope. Just caliber and safety info. For twist look up your gun on Savage website. Or determine with a cleaning rod. Insert into chamber and stop at rifling. Mark the 12:00 position of the rod with a sharpie marker (color that will show up on cleaning rod) Start pushing rod down barrel and count the revolutions. As an example: a 1 in 10 twist in a 24" barrel will have @ 2.4 revolutions before it exits the muzzle. That would be one full revolution for 10" of barrel length.

I just rcvd a 22-250 bbl. Aside from caliber and warning, in order around the bbl, it reads: SP5; C8; E18; K and A10. These mean something,the bbl is rifled before chambering, they're identified somehow?

The markings are often the stamp of inspection to show they have been through a QC process.
The Dunning-Kruger effect is alive and well.
