LR, I think you'll still need to clean your brake, I have a couple ross schuler brakes and they certainly need cleaning once in awhile.
I can't see your photos LR.

So you were trying to match the Razor HD? If so if you find the match let us know. That's one color I would like to have everything match.
my creakote guy is 99% sure he has it figured out after talking to vortex and cerakote..like i say the purple tint is whats missing...hes going to order the purple on monday and do some testing to find the blend after thanksgiving..ill keep you guys posted.
newsshooter..the ports on a break arent really the problem...or at least my problem...its all the extra threads from where the muzzle/crown stops in the break to the first chamber of the break...this is where the carbon builds up and starts to effect accuracy...so say the lower point on this V is the center line of your bore...the carbon builds up just like the V is shaped and covers the crown so your shooting through carbon and one of the reasons i normally do put breaks on my 260s but i thought id give this a try and if it works out ill start running breaks again.
It's weird. I was just screwing around with spray paint over the last week or so, trying to replicate the Razor color. It's definitely not the right medium for it. Not to mention the snow has already set in, and my ability to paint outside is curtailed somewhat. The best I got was a light pass of nutmeg brown over cast iron or dark bronze. I'm thinking the reverse would be better, but it will have to wait.
Not that I particularly like the color. It's unique and seems useful, I was mostly doing it for kicks.
i thought it was a burnt bronze...which looks close until in the sun light and thats when the purple really stands out on the scope.

the tank is by far the best break made IMHO...it comes straight back with basically no muzzle rise.

thats a nice looking break...i like the tank and the reactions when ppl see it.
