I would unbolt the action from the stock and see if you can see what's going on. Can you take a picture of the top of the action?
I just picked a savge model 10 fcp. It was a great deal it seemed. Its chambered in .308 24" fluted barrel. It came with an aac brake rwady for for a suppressor and has a very nice aftermarket trigger.
When I got the rifle I couldnt remove the bolt. Did some google searches with no helpful results. This rifle has no bolt release by the trigger guard or on the side and pulling the trigger will not release it either.
The rifle is in an accustock with the hole by trigger guard for the bolt release but there is no bolt release
Any help would be appreciated
Is this a consequence of the aftermarket trigger or has this just been hacked uplp

it looks like you have an aftermarket trigger installed and they may have had to remove the bottom bolt release feature to install it.

Holy Crap!!
Definately an afternarket trigger but what brand requires bolt release removal
Looks like Sharp Shooter Supply Competition trigger, don't know if they can be used with bottom bolt release. Good trigger, worth keeping. There are parts missing. Try Savage Website, go to parts & enter serial # to see parts. If trigger can not be used with bottom bolt release, look into converting to top bolt realease.
The bolt release button has been removed to make room for the SSS competition trigger.

So how do you remove the bolt if you need to
At this point, dry fire it, then insert a small screwdriver through the hole in the trigger guard to hold the sear against the trigger. Lift the bolt and pull it out. At some point you will want to get a top bolt release/sear, or have a tab attached to the one you have.
