So it was this past summer that I did my build. It took me awhile to figure out how to post pictures on here, but I decided it was time to do it.

Started with a new Stevens M200 in 300 Win Mag. I purchased it brand new years ago, knowing I was going to build but sort of forgetting about the rifle with other projects. Finally decided with the 338-06 for my rifle, going with Bison Gun Works for my barrel. Stainless barrel with a .750" finished diameter at the muzzle, 25" total. Jim did a great job with the barrel.

After I decided on that, I started piecing everything together. Parts are:

Timney trigger, set around 3.5 pounds
Tactical bolt knob from Tactical Works
EGW 20 MOA rail, trimmed even at the barrel nut
Hogue Ghillie Green pillared stock, blind mag
Vortex Diamondback HP 4-16x SF
Vortex scope rings

Then I had the barreled receiver finished in Mcmillan Tan, and the bolt, knob and rear hardware finished in armorer's black.

With neck sized, fireformed brass, I am under .5 MOA out to 300 yrds with the rifle. 61.3gr RL17, WW brass, CCI LR primer, 225gr Accubond @ 2805 fps, OAL 3.470"

It was going to knock a good Maine deer over this hunting season but I unfortunately tore my shoulder in October and had surgery, missed all of hunting season.

Here are a few pics of my first Savage build. Hopefully you enjoy them.
