Probably get 200-225 plus shipping for it. Ask pdog06 he just bought the same one from Mcgowen for 240ish.
I just bought a brand new #4 SS McGowen 24" prefit barrel chambered for the .308WCF for a VERY good price.
Couldn't pass up the deal.
Problem is I have only a LA Savage to put it on and don't like how the LA feeds the .308.
My options are,
1) Get a LH SA action which I really don't like because I don't care for the SA.
2) I could rent a .30-06AI reamer and ream the .308 out using my lathe, a very nice choice but it would entail a $55 set of dies +the reamer rental.
3) Sell the McGowen to someone who wants a 10 twist .308.
If I go with #3 what could I expect to get for a new .308 McGowen?
Thanks.

Well, if you wanna sell it you know they normally cost $300 new, but most people would buy it from Northlander instead if you priced it the same. Nothing personal, but just because it is new from a dealer, with a reciept, and easier if you ever had to return it for a problem. On occasion they can be had alot cheaper also. I would say that it would probably sell for around $240-260 shipped if it is unfired.
It basically depends on how much you want that caliber.
-If you dont want it then you either gotta sell it or re-chamber it to something you do want.
-If you do like it then you either live with how it feeds, shoot it single shot, of get a short
action for it.
All of the options are gonna cost you more money, except maybe #3 if you sell it and dont replace it with something else.
#2 does sound like a nice option if you like the barrel(length, contour, etc).

Thanks guys!
lee collet die works for the .30-06AI. there is very little taper removed from the original case shape. the lee collet will not change the shape of an AI case. Seater also works with out reshaping the case. So your die cost just went way down.

Drop a single shot follower in it and shoot it as a single shot! That way you can seat the bullets long and do not have to worry about setting your OAL to fit the magazine.
My 10 Twist .308 shoots very well!
+1 what "rbeckwith" said.
