loosen your front stock screw, my be rubbing on the bolt head
Decided to take advantage of the good weather today but no. The bolt on my Savage 110 - 308 wouldn't close all the way. It will go into battery and the handle rotates normally except for the last little bit. The handle appears to bump against something. Not a hard "clack" but more of a soft "something's in the way". With a little force it will move a few more degrees. Trigger pull is normal and something clicks (firing pin?) and the bolt handle drops a bit. I have not yet taken it apart. Any ideas?

Front action screw may be contacting bolt head, loosen screw to see if that frees up bolt, if it does improve, shorten screw. Check for crap in receiver where bolt head rotates.
You guys are both geniuses. That worked!

Grind off about one or one and a half threads from the bolt and you will be fine.
