Put a after-market bolt handle on it, help's a bunch.
I was wondering if some has experience with cutting fireing pin spring a couple of coils to aid in bolt lift? will it increase lock time? the factory spring is square on end and cutting it will leave it pig tailed and was concerned it would kind of tweek the fireing pin? This rifle is a shooter but it has the bolt lift problem I will be installing a bolt lift kit also but it takes to men and a boy to lift on cocking!

Do not cut the spring. A weak spring will lead to inconsistant ignition. The spring should be around 25-28lbs IIRC what Fred has told us.
Buy a tac bolt handle from sss and install the bolt lift kit, aka 38 special case head and ball bearing on the cocking piece sleeve. Measure the length of the sleeve then measure the length of the sleeve with the ball bearing and case head installed in it. The difference is the amount to remove from the bolt assembly screw. Do not measure the case and ball then remove that much as some people have posted before.

Most guys grind it slowly with a bench grinder. Put a small bevel on the edge of the threads at a 45` so it starts easy.

Dolomite, you seem to be under the impression your idea is thinner. In your post you say your kit is .075" thick and 1/2 as thick as the 38spec case kit. Look at the pics below. This is from a bolt laying around my desk, nothing special.
The one I was comparing it to is the Stockade kit as that is the only other version of a kit I had at that time. I didn't have any ball bearings at the time I posted the original post so I am sure it was a Stockade bolt lift kit I was comparing the setscrew version to. The Stockade version is a lot thicker than both the 38 special ball bearing you posted pictures of as well as my setscrew version. Is either one any better than the other, I honestly don't think so but I do have my reasons for over engineering it.
On top of page 2 I talk about a ball bearing method and that is definitely Stockade's kit I was referring to. The Stockade kit has the ball bearing sticking out half its thickness as well as having a rim about the same as the 38 special rim thickness. Both of these combine to make for a much thicker bolt lift kit compared to both the 38 special ball bearing kit and the setscrew version.
I was going to measure Stockade's kit but I think I mailed it off a while back to someone who wanted it.
As I said, I wasn't comparing it to the 38 special bolt lift kit but to the kit Stockade sells.

I was able to find the Stockade bolt lift kit. It measures .120" from the top of the ball bearing to the bottom of the rim. Both the ball bearing and setscrew version of the 38 special kits are thinner than the Stockade kit. I should have been more clear in the rpevious post by stating it was the Stockade kit and not the ball bearing 38 special kit.
And no mine isn't quite half of the Stockade kit but it is still an improvement over it as is the 38 special ball bearing version.
