Contact CDI. They will inlet your stock for free of charge when you purchase a bottom metal kit from them.
Otherwise it can certainly be done. The end result will be dictated on your skill level.
Is this stock you refer to, blind mag or DBM inlet?
How hard would it be to modify the stock on a BVSS to take PTG or CDI bottom metal so I can have removable mags?
Anybody do this before?

Blind mag.
Checked out their site. Thanks for the info.

Blind mag is considerably much harder to inlet for than a stock that has already the factory cut out.
Factory cut out pretty much only requires minor work relieving certain spots.
If your goal is for a bottom metal to run DM's, AI style, let CDI do it.

I sent them an email asking if they will do the inletting on a blind mag stock for DBM using the original laminate stock.
Bad news, got a reply and they can't do the BVSS blind mag stocks. They don't have enough material for them to inlet the botom metal.
I would need to by a new stock.
That's not good. Is your action SF 4.27 or CF 4.4?

Cf 4.4
After a few email exchanges with CDI I ordered a B&C m40 that he will open up for his DBM.
my first savage build so this is a big learning experience for me.
That's a great choice. You'll be pleased
