Im sure someone will give better details but, you should need a folower magbody spring and somthing to hold the magbody forward in the chanel were the mag is held. I would asume wood would work
I'm rebarreling my savage 110 from 7 mm Mag to .308. I've swapped out the bolt head already. Will I need to chang the magazine and follower out as well? Mine is a top loading stagger-feed magazine. If so, will I have trouble putting a short action magazine into a long action?

Many will tell you that you "have to" change the follower, but I've never had a problem with not doing it.
I'm a firm believer in the theory that if it bleeds, I can kill it.
Thanks for the advice. I'll have to see how it works out.
Another question I had is can I swap out to a removable centerfeed magazine for a short action cartridge (.308) with my current 110 Long action that was built as a stagger-feed for 7mm Magnum?
