Just imagine the hell the site administrator must have endured, in that it took what, three days to get the site back up and working? Wonder if he has any hair left?

Now the site is back up, what went wrong and how can it be PREVENTED.
Sad thing is I still don't know what happened, even Charles was baffled. All I know is that we couldn't access the server at all - not through the control panel or through SSH. Must have been something pretty major at GoDaddy as their web chat support was so flooded I couldn't even get put on a waiting list. Finally got through on to someone with half a brain on the phone yesterday morning to get a support ticket created to have the issue looked at.

One benefit of the down time and subsequent Googling was stumbling upon the Facebook page, which I was totally unaware of. But found comfort in that it said it was a server issue. How long has there been a Facebook page? Does it get updated often? Anyway, glad we're out of the digital dark age.
