RUMs are like woman in Stiletto heals, you know they are going to put you in the poor house, but that has never stopped anyone from pursuing them.
I hunt swamp bottoms and prob wont be shooting over 100 yrds so I felt comfortable putting one on my striker but haven't shot it yet - my concern is that when I put the barrel in a lathe to cut threads for a muzzle brake it had some run out or some would call it warped but the bore itself looked to be true - just wondering if this is normal .
Yeah normal. Indicate to the bore, ignore the contour. factory built barrels are not dialed in real tight when they do the contour so always indicate to the bore.
I have threaded many factory barrels and almost all have a fair bit of run out. Don't worry about it too much, just indicate to bore, turn down the end and thread away.
