I'm trying, really hard, to build an ultralight mountain rifle, based on an Axis.
Right now, in my possession, I have the action & trigger.
The stock, a Boyd's Classic hugely modified, is away getting dipped in Kryptek camo film.
The barrel is still in the machine shop (instructions were 'I want a 6.5 Swede, 20" long, as light as you can machine out without me losing my face') & the trigger is in the vice being polished, smoothed & lightened you within an inch of it's life.
The bolt is with my bestest friend who is, by sheer coincidence (honest), the best machinist I've ever met, getting a few parallel flutes chipped into it.
Once I have the barrel I still have to head space the rascal & send it off for cerakoting.

All I want to do is shoot the thing!

I have many, many rifles in my safe, but this will be the first I've built from absolute scratch, for a specific reason ( Aoudad, New Mexico, 2016 to start with) & all I want to shoot is this!

Oh impatience, thou foul temptress!!
