Imo,buds is going to be the one making it right. When the rifle arives it's there job to inspect it and sign for it. I see them replacing that hs stock for you.
Hello all, this is my first post here.
I boght a Savage 12LRP in 6.5 Creedmoor and it came in today. I was beyond excited driving to the gun store. I was let down hard when I noticed the stock was damaged at the bottom of the grip. It's nothing too bad but I paid a lot of money for the rifle and it was a pressent. I sent an email to Bud's where I bought it to see if they can make it right or not. Has anyone used Bud's? How is their customer service? Will it need to go to Savage to fix/replace the stock? If sent to savage, is there anything to check for before it goes (short chamber, etc)?

Thanks. I'll find out what Bud's has to say later today. I didn't get the shipping warranty so I took several pictures of the boxes to prove it wasn't shipping related and the lady at the gun store was right there with me ready to talk to Bud's herself.
I would not worry bout it I always dump the factory stock anyway.
Good luck getting Buds to replace it.
Far from being a plastic stock. Dam good stock. Pricey as well. The transfer is between buds and your lgs. The gs charges transfer fees.besides them calling at
f Its there job to inspect the item before signing. This is going to be a finger pointing fiasco.
I am well aware of what a HS Precision stock is. I have one on my Rem 700 sniper rifle. This will be a finger pointing fiasco for sure.
I have same rifle . Shoots 6" groups @1000 with 142 smks.
Shoot it .keep it. and give it a kiss goodnight.
