Pretty sure the only screw holding it on is the furthest one towards the back of the top tang, once it's removed the stock should just pull off.
I mentioned in my introduction that I recently acquired a fairly decent model 1903 pump 22. Internally in great shape, externally had a little more "patina" than I care for...most of which was removed w 4/0 steel wool and WD40. The stock is in pretty good shape except for a small repair on the lower tip which I want to deal with, but the overall finish was pretty crummy so I also want to refinish that. Can anyone give any tips on removing the stock on the model 1903..if you've had any experience w that? Thanks very much for any input.
