No. You will need a new bolt face for the .223 family of cartridges. You will also need a magazine box and follower for the .223 based cartridges.
The question I have as NOB is can I rebarrel my .308 Model 11 with an aftermarket .221 Fireball barrel?
Both are short action, but will the stock bolt eject the .221 Fireball brass?
Any other things I need to consider?
Any advise is greatly appreciated.

It won't feed from a magazine.

It may not eject Fireball case, will work fine as single shot, remove ejector & pluck case off bolt head.
Thanks for the replies, been trying to get a .221 fireball and they are hard to find, so figured I would rework this .308 I have. Have to think about doing it. It doesn't matter if it is a single feeder, its a squirrel gun and I shoot single shot anyway.
