I noticed that you stated the Accu-Shot Monopod had been removed, may a enquire the reason behind this, just curious since I was considering buying one. which size did you get? thanks

I've had good luck with 168 and 175 SMK, but the best for my particular 10FCP-K is the 175 SMK from Southwest Ammunition. I'm going back to the range in the video below and try to do this again. Here is a video from earlier this year.

I have several sub 4" groups at 500 meters (547 yards) with this rifle. It is all up to me and my eyesight to do it right. Gun and ammo are excellent. Shooter needs work.

I took the brake off because of the dirt blast shooting prone at the range in the video. If you take yours off, expect a shift in zero but no difference in group size. And no blow back of grass, rocks, and dirt when shooting prone. I love the XLR chassis and the Bushnell 5-21 scope. Overall, a very good setup for me. But I had excellent results out to 300 yards with a 2-8x Nikon scope off of an AR and the factory Accustock. I just couldn't get the pull and the cheek weld right with the Accustock, thus the XLR.
I am primarily a pistol shooter, usually local club bullseye matches. Here is a video of a 200 yard session with a CZ P-09 that kind of put the rifle shooting in perspective for me. At 200 yards with a pistol or a rifle, the group size is dependent upon placing the sight in exactly the same spot for each shot, and then not moving the gun while pulling the trigger. In other words, the 200 yard group size is pretty much limited by how well I can see the dot relative to the aim point. I've shot the pistol at 200 yards three times, and this is the best session, although I haven't had any groups larger than 12" or so.

I am looking forward to shooting the long gun at 500 meters next week, especially after shooting the pistol at 100 and 200 over the last couple of weeks.

That looks like a good session to me! The 520 yard results are excellent. I see you are using one of the same cheekpads that I had to use with the Accustock and even medium rings. I got it to work OK, but also had to take it on and off for cleaning the bore. Looks to me like we each have a very good 10 FCP-K. I couldn't be happier with mine, especially for the price.

Well, I didn't make it out to 547 yards this week due to snow and ice on the range road and poor visibility. I made it up to the 300 yard berm however. Here is the best 4 shot group of the 5 I shot. None were over 3". I'm happy since I haven't shot this gun since the video in the post above in May. Now I just need to get my (grown) kids out to try it. My daughter in law has shot the AR and the .308 very well, better than either boy. She takes instruction well compared to the other two, LOL.
Enough from me. Back to DzNutz' journal.
