So I guess it is safe to say Winchester Patent has expired.

The first company other than Winchester to manufacture the WSM. Any thoughts? Experiences?

RUMs are like woman in Stiletto heals, you know they are going to put you in the poor house, but that has never stopped anyone from pursuing them.
dam and I thought I was gonna quit buying ammo for awhile :)
I bet we don't see any till after the first of the year
e-mailed Hornady last night and the reply I got today
Thank you for your email. That ammo is a New Product for 2015. If all goes according to projected Production Schedule we are hoping to release it late winter/early spring next year
So, MAYBE October/November of 2015, probably 2016.
Sorry, to be negative, it is just we had to wait so long for the rifles then we had to wait for ammo.....
ect

Let him grow, Shoot a doe !
I would bet after the first of the year myself
or maybe I will find some X-mas morning in my stocking LOL
I'm still betting Winchester will be making the ammo for Hornady.

The way I read it, it means early spring 2015. All three of mine are packed away until I feel like looking at them again.
E-mailed Hornady again last night and the answer
No, this is not Winchester ammo in a Hornady box. It is our ammunition.
Thank you,

That's really good news Lonewolf.......But I don't believe Hornady in house manufactures any rimfire ammo, I believe ATK manufactures to Hornady specs with Hornady components. I'm guessing this would be a similar venture with Winchester. But then again I could be wrong....either way it should be an improvement.
doesn't ATK own Hornady, federal and CCI ??
I don't think ATK owns Hornady. I just remember reading an article about Hornady partnering with ATK/CCI to manufacture its 22WMR & 17HMR branded ammunition. Hornady has very close specifications on its ammo so Im very interested to see improvement. FYI I just rec'd a new batch of Winchester 17WSM and after weighing 250 rounds the variation was only .7ths of a grain. Last year it was as much as 2 grains in a 50 round box, improvements are being made at Winchester as well.
