They started at 26" and cut the barrel down inch by inch and recorded velocity at each
fast burn rate powder for caliber, there will be less of a ball of flame (I've noticed this)
What m.v. can i get with a 50 gr. V max out of 16 inch barrel? And what powder should i look at.
1 in 9 twist
.223 chamber,,
I know accuracy kills not speed.. but it helps lol

Thanks ^
As to Powder I'd go 1st with 748 then maybe 4198. They both burn very fast are known to be accurate in .223 and should yield close to max velocity in a 16 in. bbl...... The 748 is a ball powder and meters well but may cause a fire ball.... 4198 is very accuate but is a stick powder that requires trickling.
Thanks you.^
