    New guy from NJ

Hello all, my name is Jim. I'm currently living in Jersey. I was born in Philadelphia grew up in Jersey. I moved to Western Montana in 75 with my wife and my eight year old daughter. we bought some bare land and built a homestead and lived there until 02 when my wife and I moved back to Jersey. My wife and I will be moving back out west soon God willing.
I've had all kinds of guns during my lifetime. Back in 67 I traded my neighbor a Ruger singlesix revolver for an Savage 1899 with a straight stock and an octagon barrel in 30-30, that one is long gone but I just bought a 99 in 300 Savage and thought I'd learn some stuff here.
    Jim

    Hey Jim and Dig,

Here is another guy from NJ. I am next door to Dix/McGuire in Burlington County. Also belong to Central Jersey in Jackson. Long time Marlin Man (still am) but just got hit with the old Savage Bug. I am on the lookout for a 1899 in .30-30 with a 26" barrel. Really elegant design for the turn of the century. I shoot Silhouette and don't want a carbine. I just started reloading but don't want to have to deal with .303 or the .250 brass and stuff. 300 Sav is still around but then have to buy more dies, etc.

BTW, I am on permanent disability and if I ain't at the docs then I am usually at home.

    John
