Welcome to the site
Have some Savage bolt actions for PD shooting, a couple were Stevens 200's used for the actions, barrels and stocks changed and triggers modified by me. Have the 200's converted with stainless fluted heavy factory barrels and laminated heavy barrel factory stocks in 243 and 204 Ruger. One old J mid length action 22-250 converted to 220 Swift with a factory stainless fluted barrel and original walnut stock, Savage 110 long action that was a 223 converted to a 17 Remington with SSS stainless barrel and factory laminated heavy barrel stock. Have set the headspace on the barrels when I have changed them with a resized casing from my reloading dies. On the second 220 Swift and second 204 Ruger barrel after they were shot out on PD's, the Swift barrel made it to 1500 rounds and the 204 Ruger to 2500 rounds, they both were shooting wild and the Swift was badly key holing. The beauty of the Savage is I can change the barrel in short order.

Thanks for the welcome, favorite rifles for PD shooting are the Savage in 204 Ruger caliber shooting 32 grain v-max bullets and an AR15, 1 in 9 twist in 223 shooting 40 grain v-max bullets and a Contender carbine in 17 HMR when the wind is calm.
