Probably Scope Eye in a 22-06 LOL.
You know I have to ask who is using them, right ? Ok, Who is using them ? Thank you for your contributing posts in advance......
Probably Scope Eye in a 22-06 LOL.
Dean has an ungodly amount of stuff, it would not surprise me if he has or had them.I bet they were screaming and kicking all the way to their destination if in deed he had them but no longer does.
I have been using them in my Savage Model 40 that was rechambered to 22 K-Hornet. They were working pretty well but have not gotten a final load picked out yet. I was only getting 3/4" at 100 with them, but I have a feeling they were/are to long of a bearing surface for the slow twist at the K-Hornet velocities to get any better.
204, 22 K-Hornet, 222, 223, 22-250, 22-250AI, 6BR, 243, 243AI, 6-06, 6-WSM, 250-3000AI, 270, 7-08, 7RM, 30BR, 308, 30-06, 375 H&H, 444 Marlin, 450BM, 458WM
I use then all the time in my multitude of .224 rifles. Just amazing the accuracy you can achieve with both this bullet and the Sierra 53 gr FB Match.
I shoot them in Savage rifles re-chambered from .221 FB all the way up to my .22-204R Improved. (my own wildcat)
Never had one come apart and their performance on both 'reactive' targets and 1 gallon milk jugs have to be seen to be believed!

Awesome bullet, great for small varmints to paper punching. Great accuracy in most guns. Very effective at planting small varmints like prairie dogs.
Thank you for the replies.
Yes I have as a matter of fact, I liked them so much I use to send them two at a time.LOL I like HPBT in all calibers not for there BC or penetration or even stability, I like them because I am to lazy to debur the case mouths, and screw up to many cases with flat based bullets.

RUMs are like woman in Stiletto heals, you know they are going to put you in the poor house, but that has never stopped anyone from pursuing them.
I have used them in my 22 250, incredible groups... Ballistically is was equal to my 223, so I stopped loading that bullet
I shot them in a wildcat that is very similar to the 221 Fireball in a varmint silhouette competition a few years ago. They were incredible out to 400 meters. I was launching them at approx. 3000fps.
There are 3 kinds of people in this world. Those who can do math and those who can't
The 52 sierra have a low BC of 218. Looking at the bullets in that range of weights its lower than you would expect. With the powder load that produced the tight groups, the velocity was so low that it was shooting like my 223. I swapped to a bullet that has a BC of 270 and a higher velocity.
Thank you for the responses.Jon,I will try them in my 22-250 as well, thank you.
