Front screw on scope mount too long?

How do you tell if the front screw on a scope mount is too long? I have 2014 Model 111 in 7mm rem mag with Ken Farrell mount and rings.

If front screw on a scope mount is too long, what will the screw rest against?

What will this do to accuracy?

Is the front screw typically shorter than the other three?

1. The barrel threads. If the rear one is too long the bolt lug with hit it.

3 Yes, no , maybe.
