If you can get the BV stock for a reasonable price and in nice shape with trigger guard and bottom metal they are a nice stock . I had been told before that they were made by Boyds for Savage . I don't know that to be true for sure but I like mine .
Hi Everyone,
I've had a MKII-FV for a couple of months. Love the gun but would like to change to a laminate stock.
I'd like some advice deciding between the BV stock which I can get used and the Boyds Hunter stock which will cost me a little more.

I've seen lots of posts praising the Boyds stocks but I'm not sure how they compare to the Savage laminates. I'm sure either will be a big improvement on my FV. I'm concerned mostly with improving the accuracy of the rifle.
Thanks!
