Have you tried just cutting shorter? don't have much experience in cutting mounting screws
I have a single piece mount, weaver tactical, and the front screws are a tad long. i dont have a grinder, so has anyone used washers to shorten them.

They who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.
My son walked in a few minutes a go and he has a dremel he says will work. So tuesday we put it together.
Do you have the front and rear screws switched?

I use my sharpening stone.
It turned out that all four were too long. The dremel worked fine. The package was for a model 10 savage but who knows. The mount is on and saturday we will take it shooting. The sharping stone in pinch would be a possibility.
