It's an easy process.
Take the od down to the correct diameter, then re-thread.
I found a used barrel I want to buy but it's for a large shank savage and I want to put it on my model 10 small shank? The seller says he can re-thread the barrel for a small shank - is that even possible? is it a good idea? if it is possible should I just buy it and have my smith redo the threads?
