I have seen many other posts about shank size but I cant find a definitive answer for what I am asking. I have a 111 in .300wm I do not have calipers available to check any sizes, so is there anyway to find out what size shank i have just by knowing the model of the gun and what it is chambered in?

Can't go wrong by calling Savage! Give them the serial number and ask.
A 111 in 300WM?
I would be amazed if it is anything other than a Small/Standard Shank.
This should help:
