Nicely done!
Hello Everyone,
New here so I'll try to be brief.
I purchase this 110E .308 (ser. 68xxx / 1967) new in early 1968. It has an adjustable trigger, modern bolt and checkering on the stock. I immediately installed a butt pad, but it didn't help. The light weight of the rifle made it unbearable to fire. I put about 20 rounds through it and put it in my gun safe.......for 47 years! I gave it away twice , but the people I gave it to fired a few rounds through it and gave it back. Everyone hated it. I recently made a batch of muzzle brakes for 300 win size loads and noticed the 110 sitting in the back of my safe. It's flawless...not a scratch on it! I designed and installed a smaller brake on it last week. The rifle now has the recoil of a "30 carbine". I've been buying many guns for many years but this old girl is now my favorite! It's such a pleasure to shoot, I installed a scope and bipod.
Take Care, Everyone
Johnny
When I threaded the barrel (9/16-24), I trimmed back the front sight ramp so I could install the brake, jamb nut and still retain the front sight.
Nicely done!

Looks like an ear-splitter! Probably no shortage of long range targets there though.
