Building some loads for my new Savage with 24" tube. I know H1000 is hit/miss these days but am also looking at loads with IMR 7828/H4831/RL22. I know all guns shoot different but just curious if any shooters on here have tried these loads with this exact 24" barrel. Thanks!
The 7828 and the RL22 are good for 75gr each, and the 4831 70gr did the trick for me. I had that barrel when I got the gun new, I have since swapped the barrel.

RUMs are like woman in Stiletto heals, you know they are going to put you in the poor house, but that has never stopped anyone from pursuing them.
I see sssoooo many people with H1000, and I'm assuming some got cold feet to try the not so advertised loads from 7828 etc., which from what I can find shooters are having good results. I'm also looking for a 2nd barrel. May I ask what route you went? Most of my shooting will be in 45-105 degree weather in the plains of SD.
