Pry the front up a little and when you have some clearence take hold with a plier and GENTLY pull up.
Hello I am new to the forum and I am in need of some assistance. I have a Savage 110 LA with a Blind Magazine in .30-06 and a black synthetic stock. I have owned the rifle for 2 years and recently I purchased a Boyds Featherweight Thumbhole stock for it. I was wondering if someone could walk me through removing the blind magazine follower and spring from the synthetic stock. I see the metal retaining clip but I am unsure how to proceed as I don't want to damage the follower or retaining clip in any way. Thanks in advance.

I use a long screwdriver, and catch the edge of the louver in the front of the magazine, near the top. I pry across the magazine using the tab area in the back, for a lever point. Once you get the magazine above flush, things go much easier, and you can kinda rock it out.
Thanks Guys I was able to get the follower out and got all the hardware installed.
thanks
