114 American Classic stock in LH from Numrich would be an easy swap and look incredible.
After ordering a LA stainless FLHSS 6.5-284 for a Shilen build, I am having second thoughts about removing the barrel but rather building the 284 on the Savage varmint action instead.
I am toying with the idea of grabbing a high grade wood stock and finishing it out for the 116 to use as a basic hunting rifle.
If any of you have any ideas or pics, I would be most grateful.

I am actually looking for a higher grade wood stock that I can stain and finish out myself: I love wood working I know Boyds makes a wood replacement stock but I would prefer something other than Boyds.

Give Joel Russo a call. http://www.russoriflestocks.com/
Each morning eat a live green toad, it will be the worst thing you'll have face all day.
Richards microfit also has nice wood in lots of different styles.
Since your wanting to do the work yourself Richards is a good bet. Rifle-stocks.com
If the OP is in Canada, he should contact Bob Fortier.
Thanks for the links. I think Russo rifle stocks is exactly what I am looking for but he is not accepting new orders at this time
