Hmm, they do have an office or factory in Canada. Weird.
Contacted savage today regarding my warranty issue with my P.A.D. One rep told me no problem just get my serial number, which i did. That was after a 30 min wait on the phone. After I went home and got it, another half hour wait on the phone, only to have that operator tell me that it was more less a waste of time. He told me that there is no shipping to Canada right now that they need to get an export permit which they have no idea how long of a wait that will be. Its nothing to do with it being a firearm issue, just no shipping at all to Canada. What the hell is with that, and what am I supposed to do? He could not even direct me to a Canadian supplier or repair facility with the part for me. Any help or info on this problem??????

Go to Savage's website (savagearms.com) then click on customer service>warranty and repair information. Scroll down and you will see four Canadian warranty depots that should be able to help you out.
Here's the link to the shop that does Savage Warranty work in Canada :

If you want " non gunsmith only " parts Savage will ship them to Canada....I have ordered springs, followers, mag boxes , etc. no problem.
That's assuming your order is under $ 100

Sounds like maybe someone at Savage dropped the ball in renewing their export permit/license, or whomever they were using for exports got out of the biz. Or maybe we're just preparing to invade Canada.
