I have a 264 WinMag 26" 10 twist and there is nothing, I can't shoot that is available in that caliber, It is even more accurate than my 260AI.

What is suggested twist for a chrome moly 26" barrel for either a 264 win mag or nosler 26, maybe 0.6" at muzzle? The barrel would see 140 gr PT/AB mostly, no smaller than the 130 AB. My Savage 260 uses 1:8 twist and I only shoot 140gr.

RUMs are like woman in Stiletto heals, you know they are going to put you in the poor house, but that has never stopped anyone from pursuing them.

My 264's have 30-inch or longer barrels with 8-inch or faster twist.
Work OK.

Just checked, the barrel maker offers their 6.5's in 8, 8.5, and 9. Guess that means "overspinning" 140 gr is unlikely with 8 or 8.5.
I can send 140s 3300+fps that's why I went with the 10 twist, and if you are so inclined 85gr sierra HP @ 4300+fps what more could you ask for.

I'm planning out my .264Win build now, from the reading I have done it seems like a 1-9" will stabilize even a 160gr at the speeds you get from a .264WM.
