Flat back or round back?
If it has a three screw trigger, you can adjust it so it is nice and crisp.
I just got a G series model 12. i assume it is from 2002 or 2003. 26" stainless fluted barrel, but no accutrigger. Any thoughts? i thought all G series guns had an accutrigger.
Now I need to put a scope on it. Think I should use bases and rings, or get a picatinny base and some rings?

Definitely not. I have 3 G prefix rifles that are not accutrigger, 2 of which I bought new.

Good info. So G prefix models were made in 2003, but not all of them are accutrigger. That's the info I was looking for.
It's a beautiful gun.
Back when I bought the two that I bought new, you could choose whether you wanted the accutrigger/accustock package or not. That option added about $40 to the price of the rifle. Of course I have no idea whether that was due to old inventory being sold off or not. I still have a catalog from back then, and a shotgun news too. Magnum Weather Warriors with fluted barrels/muzzle brakes were going for $406 without the accuoption.
